X-Men: Days of Future Past

Fantastic cast, great direction and epic story line ties up loose ends in the X-Men universe perfectly to re-right the ship after a few failed attempts by Fox to deliver as perfect an franchise movie as this one. Bryan Singer clearly is the best person to move X-Men universe forward and his real understanding of these characters is never far away from the screen. There is a real sense of danger, loss and conflict for all characters which makes this a movie you can watch over and over again.

I truly did not expect there to be anything else to do with such a wide csst list and although some castings were rather pointless (Anna Paquin for 1) it was possibly the highlight of the X-men collection. James and Michael are possibly two of the finest actors around at the moment and they showed why. Slightly confusing beginning but worth it

I really wanted to like this more after the excellent First Class but the poor dialogue, obvious directing and messy plotting let down a great cast (Dinklage steals it), some iconic imagery and a tidy conclusion. Ratner should have left this one to Vaughan in my opinion.
